WingMakers is neither a path or teaching,
it is simply a way of living based on spiritual equality,
and in this way of living, it proposes not to judge,
but rather to distinguish carefully between the lower frequencies of separation
and the higher frequencies of unity--one and all.

THE HIERARCHY

By John Berges

The WingMakers materials contain many challenging ideas and technical terms. One of the more difficult terms is hierarchy. In the context of the WingMakers materials, the term hierarchy refers to organizational structures that wield power through the control of information and knowledge. It is important to know that hierarchy is not “bad,” but is part of the Grand Experiment of First Source. (See Chamber 2 philosophy.) From the glossary entry for hierarchy we read:

The Hierarchy is more connected to its own collective desire to help, to serve, to perform a function that allows the use of power in a positive way. In itself, this is not wrong or misguided. It is all part of the Primal Blueprint that orchestrates the unfoldment of consciousness from collective to individual and individual to collective. Glossary, Hierarchy.

Hierarchies themselves are benign, but the individuals who wield power within hierarchies often infringe on the free will of the entities they serve. As will be discussed later, this condition is due more to the developmental level of the individuals in these hierarchies than to the nature of hierarchical structures themselves. It should be pointed out, however, that some amount of free will is given up by individuals who choose to work within the framework and rules of any given hierarchy. Beyond this, however, is the fact that the egoic tendencies of individuals to maintain control and hold power within hierarchies can lead to corrupt hierarchical structures if left unchecked.

An interesting feature of this hierarchy concept is that hierarchies are found everywhere in the universe.

The Hierarchy extends throughout the cosmos to the very borders of discovery. It has branches that extend from every star system, every dimension; and virtually all life forms are "leaves" of this cosmological tree. The Hierarchy constitutes the grand indoctrination of species, spirits, planets, and stars as they each evolve through the branches of the tree. It is an assemblage of externals that desire to invest their energies in support of a sub-group that has nested somewhere within the greatest of all structures: the Hierarchy. Service is the operational motive of the Hierarchy, and in most cases, this translates into the concept of saviorship. Glossary, Hierarchy.

WingMakers presents two models of existence for the entity consciousness. These are the evolution/saviorship model and the transformation/mastership model. Hierarchies advocate the evolution/saviorship model and seek to protect and save entities in order to foster their evolution. The remainder of the glossary entry for hierarchy uses the analogy of a tree to illustrate how hierarchy develops in human terms.

The Hierarchy is composed of entities of all motives that have linked their energies into subgroups. Think of these subgroups as independent branches of a vast, cosmological tree – a structure that encompasses all things outside of Source Reality. The roots of the tree are bound in the soil of genetic memory and subconscious identity. At the base of the tree the first branches sprout and they are the oldest, representing the native religions of the specie. The middle branches are the orthodox religions and institutions, while the upper branches represent the contemporary belief systems that are newly emerging throughout the universe. The whole tree, in this definition, is the Hierarchy, and its purpose is to advance the evolution of life through a superstructure that results in the teacher/student ordering of the universe. Glossary, Hierarchy.

This is a good description of an evolving process within hierarchical structures themselves. Eventually individuals reach a stage of development at which they desire to escape from the hierarchical controls of the institutions in which they have served. They outgrow a particular hierarchical structure; they no longer have the opportunity for creative expression. This happens whether a hierarchy is corrupt or not, and no matter at what qualitative level it functions.

The prime example of this dynamic is metaphorically described in the WingMakers material through Dr. Jamisson Neruda, the main character in the Ancient Arrow Project novel. Dr. Neruda is about 50 years old and has been a dedicated member of the ACIO for over 30 years. His father was a member of this elite group and Jamisson was tutored by this group from the age of 14. By the age of 17, Jamisson decided to become an intern with the ACIO. Hence, it is clear that Dr. Neruda was indoctrinated by the ACIO and is even slated to take over its leadership after his boss, Octavio Fifteen, retires. Dr. Neruda is a prime example of one who is a devoted and entrenched member of a hierarchy—the ACIO and its unacknowledged supersecret inner sanctum, the Labyrinth Group.

But what happens? Dr. Neruda is contacted by the WingMakers, the catalytic force of the transformation/mastership model. They are the driving force that propels Dr. Neruda out of the hierarchical structure of the ACIO and Labyrinth Group. This event clearly illustrates the fundamental struggle between the saviorship model and the transformation model. To leave such a powerful group, especially with his position as one of the Directors, is unthinkable, yet unavoidable once the knowledge and plan of the WingMakers is communicated to him.

With his consciousness expanded through the vision of the WingMakers, Dr. Neruda realizes that it is impossible for him to continue working within the ACIO. Its hierarchical structure and mission are too restrictive for his expanded view of the universe. Furthermore, Neruda has become a threat to the hierarchy of the ACIO and to Fifteen, its Executive Director. This is an enormous and supremely critical moment in the life of Neruda. He is trapped in a dilemma. On the one hand his love of the ACIO, its members, and the mission that it pursues is very strong. Yet, on the other hand, through the WingMakers revelation, he now sees a larger vision, a more comprehensive plan. He struggles to integrate this wider vision into that of the ACIO, but finds that the hierarchy is threatened by this “outside” force.

Dr. Neruda realizes that he must leave his beloved hierarchy and pursue his own path. An important feature of this crisis is the fact that the knowledge of the WingMakers—their existence, their ideas, their plan, their knowledge—is not just information added to what Neruda already knows, but this new information is catalytic. Jamisson Neruda is now a different person, he has been transformed by this contact with the WingMakers. And this transformation means that he no longer fits into the hierarchical structure that he has known all his life.

He can try to change that hierarchy by incorporating his new vision into it, but if that hierarchy—actually its individual members—cannot change, refuses to change or simply sees no need to change, then Dr. Neruda must leave of his own accord or eventually be released because he no longer fits into the “team.”

One lesson here, is that this is not necessarily anyone’s fault, but is intrinsic to the dynamic between the individual and the group, the transformation/mastership model and the evolution/saviorship model. It is the tension between these two elements which spurs the growth and development of individuals and groups.

In the novel, Fifteen wants to “save” Neruda and due to his great love and dedication to Fifteen, Neruda wants Fifteen to save him. The stark realization for Dr. Neruda, however, is that this is now impossible, for he must save himself by continuing along the transformative path through a withdrawal from the hierarchy of the ACIO and Labyrinth Group. Within the framework of the Ancient Arrow Project novel this tremendous dichotomy between the individual and the group is clearly laid out before us. In effect, we will all become Dr. Neruda.

All individuals eventually come to this crisis point. This marks the stage at which the transformation/mastership model of existence comes to the forefront of their lives. The hierarchy is bypassed and the individual accesses Source Intelligence directly through some particular process of transformation leading to mastership. The nature of that process is not important here except to say that many transformational processes are available to individuals which allow them to advance in their development within the multiverse.

The two main points are:

1. Hierarchies are a necessary part of the Grand Experiment, but they exist and function in a qualitative range dependent on the developmental level of the individuals responsible for serving those hierarchical missions.
2. The Grand Experiment consists of at least two tracks for humanity: 1) The evolution/saviorship model of existence advanced by the hierarchy. 2) The transformation/mastership model hidden within the individual waiting to be awakened and accessed through transformational techniques made available to humanity by its creators, the Central Race or WingMakers.

Both models are necessary because it is impossible to avoid the structure of hierarchy. It is part of the ordered nature of the multiverse. Without it there is chaos. Returning to Dr. Neruda briefly, the point to remember is that he will eventually find himself operating within another hierarchy. It will be based on the catalytic forces of the WingMakers, his interaction with Source Intelligence via his Wholeness Navigator, and the application of this knowledge in his own life. Thus, he will create his own wisdom path. At that point Dr. Neruda may very well create his own hierarchical structure that will articulate his new vision. This is a good thing. It only becomes a “bad” thing when change and growth are called for in his hierarchy and he or its members refuse to respond to the signals for change. Eventually, other “Nerudas” will emerge from his hierarchy and leave it to forge their own wisdom paths. Thus, the final statement about hierarchy:

It is all part of the Primal Blueprint that orchestrates the unfoldment of consciousness from collective to individual and individual to collective. This is the spiral of integration that breeds wholeness and perfection within the Source Intelligence. Glossary, Hierarchy. [Emphasis mine.]

Before proceeding further it may prove helpful to know where in the material the term hierarchy appears. The term hierarchy appears 100 times in the four philosophy papers, the glossary, and the first four Neruda interviews. Here is the breakdown:

Chamber 1: Principles of the Sovereign Integral 2
Chamber 2: Shifting Models of Existence 72
Chamber 3: Blueprint of Exploration 0
Chamber 4: Beliefs and Their Energy Systems 4
Glossary 21
Neruda Interviews (next to last page of Interview 4). 1
Total 100
From the preceding table it is abundantly clear that the Chamber 2 philosophy contains the most references to the term hierarchy. This is because the Chamber 2 philosophy pertains to the model of existence represented by the hierarchy: Evolution/Saviorship and the model for the individual who outgrows the hierarchy: Transformation/Mastership model. The main point of the Chamber 2 essay is that human beings must learn how to use both models in such a way that a synthesis model emerges from this process.

Returning to the preceding table, the glossary contains 21 instances of the term hierarchy. It appears in five separate entries:

• First Source 3
• Genetic Mind 5
• OLIN technology 1
• Hierarchy 8 (excluding the glossary entry itself)
• Models of Existence 4

Through this simple process of enumerating the places that the term hierarchy appears, we can already see some pattern emerging. We see that the term appears in the glossary entry for Models of Existence 4 times and that the philosophy paper, Shifting Models of Existence, contains the most entries (72) for hierarchy.

The philosophy explains that there is a connection between the genetic mind and hierarchy and this shows up in the glossary entry, Genetic Mind, which contains 5 references to hierarchy. Interestingly, the glossary entry for Hierarchy contains no references to genetic mind. Based on this information we can draw a preliminary theoretical conclusion that it is possible to understand hierarchy without the inclusion of the genetic mind, but it is not possible to fully understand the genetic mind without reference to hierarchy.

To briefly illustrate this point, the boundaries of belief are defined by the hierarchy in control of any given group of people. Through the control and manipulation of information, the hierarchy molds public opinion and the consensus reality of a tribe, religion, nation, or planet. Hence, the genetic mind or accumulated knowledge and beliefs of humanity reflect the beliefs inculcated into individuals through the controlling power structures. This is a large topic and I will only say here that with the advent of the global communications network, the genetic mind will be increasingly weakened relative to the power of the hierarchy to limit and control the information flow to individuals. More on this interplay between the hierarchy and the genetic mind can be found in the WingMakers glossary.

Source Organizational Alignment: SOA

In the summer of 2001, I wrote a letter to James in which I expressed my own confusion about the term hierarchy. Our local group of WingMaker students was unsure of the meaning of this term because we had studied the spiritual philosophy of Theosophy and Alice Bailey quite extensively and in that philosophy the brotherhood of earth teachers and masters is called the Hierarchy. In the Theosophical/Alice Bailey (TAB) model of reality, this Hierarchy is also referred to as the Great White Lodge and sometimes the Brotherhood. It is also called the spiritual Hierarchy or Hierarchy of Masters. (In fact, the word Hierarchy is always capitalized in the TAB teachings.)

Naturally, when we first encountered the term hierarchy in the WingMakers materials we thought James was referring to the TAB hierarchy. But that didn’t make sense because, as discussed in the first part of this article, he uses the term hierarchy in a much broader sense than that of a brotherhood of teachers.

The TAB hierarchy which we have studied is not a blockage to Source Reality, nor is it defined as a group of teachers preventing access to any knowledge which will lead a human being to liberation. The TAB hierarchy spreads light and love, it does not restrict or control light and love for manipulative purposes. Here is how James describes the TAB hierarchy:

Upon earth there is an order of non-physical teachers with whom we coordinate our agenda and essential objectives. These teachers are experienced in the human condition, and thus possess the critical elements of compassion and empathy of which we – of Lyricus – are sometimes less replete. They provide stewardship of our objectives in the context of the human condition and advise us in the matters of the emotional and mental conflicts that confound and confuse humanity. Session 2, 6.
Jesus presently serves a leadership role in the teaching organization of which I spoke of earlier, which is made up of authentic spiritual leaders of earth. He is very much aware of both the WingMakers and Lyricus.
Those teachers who have translated from the physical to the interdimensional realms remain powerful teachers of humanity. They shift their focus from individualistic missions to collaborative missions, and in this spirit of collaboration, become increasingly powerful as change agents for the human condition. Jesus, in particular, operates as a managing director of the teaching organization, and in this role, interfaces with Lyricus on planning and analysis of the Grand Portal. Session 2, 17.

If you read all of question 17 (from Session 2), you get a distinct picture of Lyricus interacting with “earth teachers”—physical and non-physical. These teachers are the TAB hierarchy, but this is not the same hierarchy described in the WingMakers materials. Unfortunately, these two distinct items share the same name. For instance, a major book written by Alice Bailey is entitled, The Externalisation of the Hierarchy. In a few instances James describes his work and the work of Lyricus in a similar vein. For example, in the Chamber Four philosophy he mentions the “return of the masters.”

Tributary Zones will become the new religion of the 22nd century. They will become the touchstone for accessing the new energy coming into the planet as a result of the Grand Portal’s discovery. In this time, the new structure of the Hierarchy will – like a glove turned outside in – finally fit the human “hand”. This will herald the Return of the Masters who have remained behind the veil of secrecy because of the survivalbased interests of religion, business, government, and science.
However, these institutions will be reformatted, and those Masters who hold the vital information as to how the individual may use the Grand Portal to explore themselves and the universe, will be revered and finally appreciated by humanity at large. Beliefs and Their Energy Systems, 3. [Emphasis mine.]

This particular passage is an excellent example of the collision between the terms hierarchy and Masters. Here is where things get a bit sticky because James has capitalized the term hierarchy. A search of the four philosophy papers and the glossary reveals that James has spelled hierarchy—lower case—66 times, and Hierarchy—upper case—27 times. An examination of these instances reveals that there appears to be no specific reason for his having done so. In other words, he is still referring to hierarchy within the context of WingMakers and is not referring to the TAB hierarchy. In fact, except in his personal answers to me and two other TAB students he never refers to the TAB hierarchy as “the Hierarchy.” For instance:

I am a member of a teaching order that has existed before the creation of the planet earth. I realize this may seem like an impossible reality, but it is my reality nonetheless. This teaching order is allied with the esoteric teaching orders of earth. Session 2, 6. [Emphasis mine.]

Here, James is clearly referring to the TAB hierarchy of our Earth, but instead of calling it “the Hierarchy,” he calls it a teaching order. In contrast, here is an excerpt from the first communication I ever received from James in May, 2001. Here is my question: “How is the wingmakers project and the other 5 or 6 projects related to the reappearance of the Christ or World Teacher?” (The concept of the reappearance of the Christ or World Teacher is a large part of the Alice Bailey teachings.) Here is part of his answer:

The Hierarchy – not the Christed One – will emerge first, and they will concentrate on bringing the new psychology and metaphysics to the 21st century. The WingMakers’ teachings are one of the first stages of this externalization process, which consists of transmitting the catalytic forces of the Tributary Zones to the communication networks of the world population. Letter from James, 5-11-01. [Emphasis mine.]

Note James’ obvious use of the word Hierarchy (upper case). I did not use the word Hierarchy in my question. Also, note his use of the very special term externalization. Only someone very familiar with the Alice Bailey material would know to use this term when addressing a TAB student.

Hence, the confusion for TAB students is that the term Hierarchy very specifically means a spiritual brotherhood of teachers and masters, whereas in the WingMakers material, the term hierarchy means a power structure or organization of some kind which is not necessarily spiritual, but could be depending on the spiritual development of its members. It was this confusion which led me to ask James a follow-up question in another letter. Here is that question along with his answer:

Question 2 – Is there another word besides “Hierarchy” which I can use which is more akin to its true nature?
Answer 2 – I like the concept of “Source Organizational Alignment” or SOA. It means that the source of an organization is rightfully empowered to establish a vision for the group energy to achieve. All who invest their time and energy to the organization have a responsibility to align to this vision. SOA is an alternative definition of Hierarchy that suggests its true nature. That said, however, the difficulty emerges as Hierarchies protect the vision of its source when three things occur:
• The source vision was time-bound for a period of one generation, and the organization outlasts the source vision.
• The source was not truly visionary or adept at forecasting human behavioral shifts based on environmental changes.
• Substantial threats or opportunities emerge that impinge on the vision and necessitate its modification.
Bear in mind that the Grand Universe, while being near infinite in its spatial dimension, is infinitesimally sparse in terms of humanoid populations. Because of this condition, human populations learn how to interact across the spatial dimensions of space through the use of SIN [Sovereign Integral Network]. Trading is the most common reason that humanoid populations interact; the second most common is to form alliances of safety.
These are the two, most sweeping forms of SOAs within the physical, Grand Universe. There are very sophisticated and far-reaching trading networks or what are sometimes called (this is a loose translation) Trade Alliance Organizations. These particular examples of SOAs form the very basis of the Hierarchy as it extends into the life-bearing planets that have become activated on the Sovereign Integral Network.
There are also planets whose population has achieved a certain level of spiritual depth and awareness that causes them to abstain from the use of humanoid SOAs and participation within the TAOs. These are the most evolutionary advanced humanoid populations, and generally they prefer to remain outside of the conflicts that naturally arise from humanoid SOAs and TAOs. These populations invest their time and energy into manifesting a SOA of First Source and helping other planets in their evolutionary trajectory.
It is within these planets that Lyricus establishes an outpost. This outpost carries the seed vision of a SOA, but one that is aligned to the vision of First Source. Among these planets is a form of communication and organization, which could be referred to as a SOA or Hierarchy, but this is not the Hierarchy of which you have formed a mental picture. Letter from James, 9-19-01.

Within the context of this reply James is saying that the TAB hierarchy (Blavatsky’s and Bailey’s Great White Lodge of Masters) can be referred to as a Source Organizational Alignment or SOA. At this point we must be careful in our consideration of his remarks because they extend the range of the term hierarchy to include hierarchies consisting of the “most evolutionary advanced humanoid populations.” This remark suggests that such populations may have reached their advanced level through the efforts of the Lyricus Teaching Order by the establishment of “outposts” on these planets at a critical juncture in the development of the population as it showed signs of spiritual alignment to First Source.

Extending this idea to our own planet, we can think of our own early spiritual leaders forming a Brotherhood dedicated to the betterment of the Earth and oriented to First Source. This represents the creation of the TAB hierarchy or SOA, but “one that is aligned to the vision of First Source.” Hence, Lyricus observed these gradual developments in ancient times and decided that the time had come to establish an outpost on Earth, just as they have done on countless other worlds throughout countless ages.

Such hierarchies are apparently nurtured and guided by the Lyricus Teaching Order and in all probability the Lyricus Teaching Order represents the original SOA of our multiverse, for according to James, it was born from the Central Race many millions of years ago. The validity of this conclusion was revealed by James eight months later in answer to another of my letters to him:

Perhaps one of the greatest secrets in the universe – as it pertains to organizations – is the Lyricus Teaching Order. It is a bedrock SOA that is invisible and likes to remain so until the Grand Portal is discovered....Lyricus is an unimaginably large SOA with substantial influence and authority. Its “director” is the 7th Archetype of First Source. [emphasis mine] Letter from James, 5-13-02.

Let’s put this information into some perspective.

The Lyricus Teaching Order is ancient and is a bedrock SOA. Its “director” is the 7th Archetype of First Source. According to the “five rings of life” (see the second Lyricus Discourse, “Calling Forth the Wholeness Navigator,” p. 9) we see this line of development:

1. First Source
2. Seven Archetypes (of First Source)
3. Central Race
4. Wholeness Navigator
5. Source Intelligence
The director of the Lyricus Teaching Order is one of the seven Archetypes, implying that Lyricus is very ancient, very evolved, and emerged out of the Central Race (WingMakers) soon after the Central Race created soul carrier DNA, if not before. This is why Lyricus is a “bedrock SOA” and why it is “unimaginably large.”

Summarizing all this we have:

• Lyricus Teaching Order as the foundational SOA of our multiverse.
• Interplanetary Defensive SOAs
• Interplanetary Trade SOAs (Trade Alliance Organizations, TAO)
• Planetary SOAs
• Intraplanetary SOAs (regions, nations, blocs, tribes, institutions, families.)
• First Source oriented SOAs (spiritually oriented)

With the exception of the Lyricus Teaching Order, the other five SOA types are obviously developed to varying degrees and along many lines, most of which we cannot even imagine. We are definitely in the dark at this point because James has given very little information about these SOAs. One might conclude that before a planetary population can utilize SIN, they must be advanced spiritually. But this does not appear to be the case, because James distinguishes (what appear to be) “materialistic” SOAs from “spiritual” SOAs. It is these spiritually oriented SOAs in which the Lyricus Teaching Order “establishes an outpost” and “this outpost carries the seed vision of a SOA, but one that is aligned to the vision of First Source.”

The significant message for us in all of this is that the Lyricus Teaching Order has apparently established an “outpost” here on our planet. This was referred to earlier when James first described Lyricus:

Upon earth there is an order of non-physical teachers with whom we coordinate our agenda and essential objectives. Session 2, 6.

Before explaining this further, I want to briefly address this issue of SOAs which are able to travel via SIN, yet do not appear to be within the category of First Source oriented SOAs. I say “appear” because we really don’t have enough knowledge about these SOAs to judge what is spiritual and what is not in terms of other planetary populations.

James states that these interplanetary SOAs travel through the physical universe via the Sovereign Integral Network. This ability must be considered a capability only possible to advanced races of beings and only after they discover the Grand Portal. I say this because we are told that the discovery of the Grand Portal will take place around the year 2075 and in the glossary we read:

SIN will eventually be interfaced with OLIN technology, but this will not happen for several hundred years. The interface is too far beyond both your technology and understanding of cosmology, and no planetary system can be fitted to interface with SIN until it is absolutely pure in its content and application. Only First Source makes this decision as to when a planetary system can become a node on SIN. Glossary, Sovereign Integral Network.

From this information we may conclude for now that gaining access to SIN involves more than the discovery of the Grand Portal and orientation to First Source. We might think of it as a planetary coming of age, a right of passage into the adult world of interplanetary life. At this point, we can only assume that once we have earned the right to live at this new level, free will still holds sway and planetary populations continue to make choices as to their depth of involvement with the more spiritual and inter-dimensional aspects of First Source. This opens up many questions as to the nature of interplanetary relationships between races and what criteria determine a planetary population’s permission to utilize the Sovereign Integral Network?

Now let’s refocus on the terms hierarchy and SOA. The term hierarchy generally refers to any organized purposeful structure in the multiverse. Hierarchies can be as large as galaxies or as small as atoms. They can be as all-encompassing as a planetary civilization or as intimate as a family unit. More specifically, hierarchy describes such human created things as: civilizations, nations, tribes, governments, churches, corporations, schools, and families.

Hierarchies are not inherently bad, but they naturally resist change (for that matter, who doesn’t) and they protect themselves through the instinct of survival. Hierarchies evolve through developmental stages and thus, can be simple or complex in their structures and organization. Hierarchies can also run the gamut from corrupt and materially selfish to pure and spiritually enlightened. James’ use of the term, Source Organizational Alignment, means that a hierarchy is aligned to its original source vision. Consequently, the broad spectrum of hierarchical organizations can all be called SOAs as long as they are still aligned to their source visions. Their ethics and spiritual orientation apparently have nothing to do with it.

These alignments take many forms, and James provided several examples in his description of interplanetary SOAs. One particular alignment is toward First Source. The entities involved in these SOAs are nurtured and guided by the bedrock SOA of our multiverse—the Lyricus Teaching Order.

Thus, the TAB hierarchy consists of highly evolved Earth teachers (some physical and some non-physical) who form a spiritual SOA—one oriented to First Source. James is quick to point out, however, that this SOA is not the one of which I and other TAB students have formed a mental picture.

Now, why is this so? Because the only models of comparison available to us consist of the organized structures created by humans who have not yet achieved enlightenment through the transformation/mastership model of existence. These are the hierarchical structures of churches, governments, and corporations, and other institutions. These examples were used in the late 19th and early 20th century presentations of the TAB philosophy (and other groups) to depict our Earth’s spiritual Hierarchy, which James says is actually an SOA that is now being guided by Lyricus.

The Lyricus Teaching Order is in the process of establishing an outpost on Earth. This apparently began about 11,000 years ago when the WingMakers/Lyricus visited ancient humanity as culture bearers (the Sumerian Shining Ones). At this present point in our planet’s evolution we have reached the critical stage at which our Earth’s spiritual SOA will emerge from behind the veil of secrecy and work more openly amongst humanity. In TAB terminology this is called the Externalization of the Hierarchy. In the vocabulary of Lyricus, this is called “the Return of the Masters.”

The bottom line is: there cannot be an SOA without a hierarchy, but there can be a hierarchy without an SOA—because any institution can lose its alignment to its original mission and purpose.

A wonderful example of James’ use of hierarchy in the TAB sense of the term is clearly demonstrated in his interaction with TAB students. This interaction can be found in the Session 3 set of questions and answers available at: www.wingmakers.com/answersfromjames.html

To the best of my knowledge, Session 3 is a combination of five sources: a statement by James following the September 11, 2001 tragedy (41), questions from two unknown sources (26 and 35), questions asked by various members of the public WingMakers internet forum during the summer of 2003 (43-75), questions asked by two TAB students (9-25), and questions asked by me in personal letters to James. These are numbered 1-8, 27-34, 36-40, and 42.

Some of these instances have already been discussed earlier in this paper, but I want to take this opportunity to point out other examples in order to demonstrate how terminology, vocabulary, and other uses of language can cause misunderstandings and confusion when not understood in the context of the persons asking and/or answering the questions.

What follows are from the 9-25 set of questions asked by two TAB students. I have chosen 8 of the 17 questions which refer to the TAB hierarchy. James’ answers to these questions illustrate his fundamental understanding of the TAB philosophy as well as its terminology. Furthermore, the answers themselves are a powerful example of the breadth and depth of understanding demonstrated by James.

Question 14 – What is the progress of the externalisation of the Hierarchy? Who and what Masters are working 'amongst Humanity' at this point?
Answer 14 – The vision of the Hierarchy, as transmitted by Alice Bailey, was incomplete, as it did not include Lyricus and the Tribe of Light that encircles the Great Central Sun (to name two exclusions). This was an intentional oversight designed to simplify and localize the Hierarchical mission.
In terms of the externalization of the Hierarchy, it varies by planet/species. There are approximately 30 trillion potential life-bearing planets in superuniverse 7. Soul Carrier DNA is distributed on approximately .0015% of these planets, or about 4.5 billion planets. Can you imagine the scale of such an enterprise? Of these, the Hierarchy is externalized in a very small percentage – less than 1%, or about 40 million planets, comprising some 840,000 different species.
As you can see, externalization, from the view of the Hierarchy is a process that encompasses a much larger scale than terra-earth. As it pertains to your question, all earth-representatives from the White Lodge are working amongst humanity. I assume what you really mean is which known masters are physically incarnate at this time.
I am not at liberty to disclose this list. I will tell you that there are approximately 165 masters (6th initiates and above) who are physically present on terra-earth, and who operate as the vanguard of the spiritual corps, mostly through ashramic activities. There are some masters who have ventured outside of the relative anonymity and protection of the ashram, but these number less than a dozen, and apart from one name, you would not recognize them in the literature of Alice Bailey or others associated with the White Lodge.
The Avatar of Synthesis is instructed through Lyricus and, as you know, operates in conjunction and coordination with Christ. The Avatar of Synthesis is intimately involved in the Lyricus objectives, knowing that the Grand Portal and the return of Christ Consciousness galvanize and make durable the One Humanity and One World consciousness.
Question 15 – The return of the Christ was originally slated as around 2025. Has that date been brought forward some, and if so what is the approximate timing now?
Answer 15 – The timing for the return of the Christ is related to the timing of the emergence of the Church Invisible. The two are inseparable. In the Lyricus vocabulary, the Church Invisible is the emergence of the Grand Portal and its preeminence as the unification platform of legacy religions and faith-based belief systems. The Christ Consciousness will only prepare the Church Invisible to reign within the human heart and higher mind, and Christ will, in effect, ascend in evolutionary service thereafter.
Question 17 – What percentage of Humanity do the Hierarchy regard as a) Currently undergoing the first initiation. b) Have already taken it?
Answer 17 – The “roof” of desire, in any divinely oriented initiate on the Sacred Path, does not consist of degrees or even the hard-earned achievements they represent. It consists of the contribution of their soul to the expansion of the evolutionary conditions of their respective species. It is for this reason that initiations are not particularly important in the eyes of the hierarchy, nor are they seen as badges of honor or credentials of higher purpose.
That said, I understand the nature of your question, and I will give you some general guidelines. There are slightly fewer than 100,000 initiates who are presently incarnated upon earth who are following the Wisdom Path loosely established by the Hierarchy. That is to say, they are following the principles as set forth by the masters and practicing these principles in their day-to-day life. Not impeccably, but with the human qualities of inconsistency.
However, within the next three generations, an influx of advanced souls will be incarnating within terra-earth. We call this influx: Symmetry of Spheres. These advanced souls (most from outside this solar system) will be encoded with predispositions of transformation. By the year 2080, they will be over 200 million strong. These are the transformers who will bring symmetry to the asymmetrical physical and emotional realms. It will be the leaders of this movement that will be responsible for the discovery and irrefutable proof of the human soul.
This is the climax of human achievement in this evolutionary cycle, and it is the undeniable goal of all within the White Lodge because this discovery is not personal. It is not sheltered in the sanctity of the individual’s realm of experience. It is the externalization of the Hierarchy, and it will touch every consciousness with its indelible mark.
The Christ Consciousness will anchor it and the Church Invisible will protect it from all who try to malign, suppress, or prevent this discovery.
Question 21 – Are the Hierarchy concerned about the imminent use of nuclear weapons? Would they allow them to be used in some circumstances?
Answer 21 – There is not a singular opinion on this matter inside the Hierarchy. Regardless of the intervention strategies of the Hierarchy, this universe is founded on the principle of freewill. Interventions are weighed very, very carefully – both in and out of time sequence, and are rarely exercised unless they significantly countermand a major objective of the Hierarchy like the discovery of the Grand Portal.
Question 22 – What are the major liabilities of disciples today - regarded by the Hierarchy? Same as they used to be? - i.e., lack of sensitivity to impression, inertia, fear, materialistic etc.
Answer 22 – Here again, the Hierarchy is not unanimous. From the point of view of Lyricus, whose perspective I know best, there are three major liabilities in the disciples of today:
1. They operate in CoD (caves of disconnection), which undermines the spirit of collaboration and sharing that is required to refresh and revitalize the teachings. The cave metaphor is also relevant to this issue because the natural tendency of the disciple is to keep the esoteric teachings esoteric. This applies not only to the Wisdom Path of the White Lodge, but also to the related fields of genetics, particle physics, sound and light theory, cosmology, the new psychology, and so on. Disciples need to educate themselves in all of these areas because they are all related to what beckons humanity.
 2. The teachings of the Sacred Path are neither rigid nor complete. Disciples must retain their flexibility and willingness not only to evolve the contemporary teachings into new territories of expression, but also to look for how the teachings can be synthesized or hybridized with new teachings that are arising. Disciples have the liability of being locked into the traditional paradigms and protecting their intellectual appeal for the sake of ego and the familiarity of comfort.
3. The esoteric is very hard to make exoteric unless it clearly demonstrates an ethical nature that is manifest in the disciple’s life. In other words, the consistency of right relations and the will-to-good is expressed faithfully across the life stream of the individual. This requires an exceptionally disciplined approach to one’s communication, and I use the term communication in its broadest meaning.
Question 23 – What are the major areas that world disciples could be concentrating their focus, to expedite the work of the Hierarchy?
Answer 23 – There is nothing to concentrate on, other than to overcome the liabilities briefly mentioned in Answer 22. I understand the nature of your question, but the Hierarchy does not require the conscious and deliberate group focus of disciples to carry out or expedite its mission.
Question 24 – The Plan that the Hierarchy seeks to implement is subject to modifications continually. What are the top five of their major priorities today?
Answer 24 – Priorities are not assessed numerically. In other words, there is a fundamental purpose within the Hierarchy and hundreds of related tactics. Some tactics may have more near-term importance than others, and to this extent, there is a sense of priority, but everything is part of a single, evolutionary system that positions the human species and proof of soul on a collision course.
Every evolutionary system is designed to ultimately transform into an innovative system with a new, but related purpose. Evolutionary systems have a distinctive culmination that is the catalyst that enables the transformation to occur. In the case of humanity’s present evolutionary system, the discovery of the Grand Portal is the distinctive culmination, and when it occurs, it will shift the evolutionary system from a human species/planetary focus to an interdimensional species/intergalactic focus based on humanity’s ability to use the Grand Portal as an interface to the Sovereign Integral Network.
The responsible application of the Grand Portal will fall to the disciples of the Sacred Path to faithfully execute. All of the training, preparation, and sacrifice of today is designed to enable the disciples of the future to responsibly manage and protect the findings of the Grand Portal. This is the focal point of the Hierarchy, though not all within the Hierarchy is aware of this overarching goal and its culmination, which is anticipated in the latter quarter of the 21st century.
Question 25 – Is there a worldwide economic recession imminent? Do the Hierarchy regard this as essential in order for there to be a new monetary system developed?
Answer 25 – There is a Zen proverb: The last thing a fish notices is water. The recession is well underway, and it is global. It is a result of the Dark Lodge’s control of the money/asset/vital resources supply. The Hierarchy doesn’t concern itself about the monetary system as long as the technology required for the Grand Portal continues to receive investment (and it will).

Note James’ use of TAB language—Hierarchy, White Lodge, masters, initiates, externalization, Avatar of Synthesis, Christ, One Humanity. As noted earlier, only someone well-versed in the language of Theosophy and Alice Bailey would know about these terms, let alone know how to use them in the proper context.

These questions and their answers clearly illustrate the difference between the term hierarchy as used in the WingMakers/Lyricus materials and Hierarchy as used in the TAB philosophy. Hopefully, having achieved that differentiation to some degree, I want to conclude this article by moving beyond the technical definition of hierarchy, and by pointing to an immensely significant event brought to light by this study—namely, that our planet is becoming an externalized outpost of the Lyricus Teaching Order. That was firmly established when Lyricus.org went on the internet on December 30, 2003:

This website is designed to introduce the Lyricus Teaching Order officially for the first time on our planet. Its content will provide a detailed background on Lyricus, its purpose, structure, and orientation to planetary and species evolution.... Ultimately, the Lyricus.org website will be a central repository for the key knowledge required to discover the Grand Portal—the irrefutable scientific discovery of the human soul. Lyricus.org, Introduction.

Referring to the numbers given by James in question 14, out of 30 trillion potential life-bearing planets, soul carrier DNA is distributed on only about 4.5 billion. Of these 4.5 billion “the Hierarchy is externalized” on about 40 million planets. Less than 1% of the planets that have soul-carrier DNA (and humanoid populations) have a First Source oriented SOA, Hierarchy, or White Lodge operating openly amidst their populations. The fact that our Earth is rapidly approaching that same status is incredibly good news.

One final point to keep in mind is that the Lyricus Teaching Order operates from a vantage point which transcends but recognizes the four quarters of power on our planet (as well as others). These quarters are culture, science, government, and religion. The TAB philosophy is mostly oriented to the religious quarter—not in the sense of mainstream religion—but more in the sense of the underlying roots from which organized religions grow. Therefore, when addressing these types of questions James’ answers are couched in the language of spirituality and religion, such as disciples, Christ Consciousness, Church Invisible, Sacred Path, etc.

From these examples it is very clear that the WingMakers materials and the Lyricus Teaching Order materials are not coming from the religious quarter at all. Instead, the philosophy, terminology, discourses, and other writings are religiously neutral. Due to the cosmic nature of the Lyricus Teaching Order, its work transcends the relatively narrow religious ideas from which our planet’s religious terminology has sprung.

The new message bypasses the religious quarter entirely because humanity has reached a point in its development where science must step forward and indisputably prove the existence of the soul and the multi-dimensional realms in which we live. Otherwise, we are doomed to fight forever over subjective beliefs that can never be proven.

In the past, religion defined the boundaries of scientific investigation. Now the time has come when science will break down the walls of religious belief, freeing humanity to explore the unbounded fields of Source Reality. This is where religion will finally come of age as its isolation from the cosmos is eradicated by science’s discovery of the soul and its connection to all things.

Just think, out of 30 trillion potential life-bearing planets, our Earth is one of 40 million in which a spiritual SOA is about to externalize. Thus, we are at the very forefront of a mysteriously fascinating cosmic process called the Grand Experiment. And furthermore, those of us responding to the resonating vibrations of the Lyricus Teaching Order are in the forefront of this Grand Experiment within our own population of 6 billion souls. What an amazing and wondrous event to contemplate, to realize in consciousness, and to serve as we move from distorted hierarchies and SOAs to First Source SOAs; from exclusive dependence on either evolution/saviorship or transformation/mastership, to a healthy and positive synthesis that incorporates both models.

The term WingMakers is encoded:
“Wing” is derived from the term wind or blow. It is the active force of setting new states into motion.
“Makers” is the plurality of the co-creators—that being the collective essence of humanity.
Thus, WingMakers means that from the collective essence of humanity new states of consciousness come into being.
This is the meaning of the term WingMakers, and it confers to humanity a new identity.
Humanity is transitioning to become WingMakers.”

"These works are catalytic and intended to help individuals shift their consciousness in order to more effectively access their own spiritual purpose, particularly as it relates to the discovery of the Grand Portal..

"The important thing to bear in mind as you review these materials is that you are composed of a human instrument that consists of your physical body, emotions and mind. The human instrument is equipped with a portal that enables it to receive and transmit from and to the higher dimensions that supersede our three-dimensional reality —the reality of everyday life.

These materials are designed to assist your development of this portal so as you read and experience these works, you are interacting with this portal, widening its view and receptivity."
