About the Commentator/Editor
John Berges (October 5, 1946 – August 30, 2011) was an esoteric spiritual researcher and teacher for over forty years. He was a life-long gifted practitioner of love-centered living, and during the last decade of his life, John devoted his energies to experiencing, studying and sharing his insights of the WingMakers and Lyricus materials.
He edited many of the WingMakers and Lyricus papers, and authored The When-Which-How Practice Guide, and The First Ten Years e-books. In 2009, James asked John to be the editor and commentator for the Collected Works of the WingMakers. It was a three-year process, and John’s dedication was unswerving, even as he battled cancer in his final year.
As the Internet became popular, John developed our website planetwork press.com (now planetwork.co) to continue communicating new ideas.
They became interested in the WingMakers material in 2001, when John began an email correspondence with the webmaster, Mark Hempel, a talented web designer and computer professional. Mark and John sent questions to Sarah, which were answered by James via PDF that Mark then sent to John. James invited John to write back to him with a carefully crafted question about John's personal mission in this lifetime. That first email from James to John began a 10-year relationship between them. This led James to trust John as an editor of some of his writings in 2007. In 2009, James asked John to be the editor and commentator for his two volume book, Collected Works of the Wingmakers - Volumes I & II. John accepted James’ offer.
In 2012 Planetwork Press began publishing the works of James Mahu in physical print form.
A Tribute by Mark Hempel
"John Berges was one of those extraordinary combinations of a wise mind, golden heart and industrious philosopher; the kind that changes, for the better, your life’s trajectory when you encounter them. They are missed the most when they log-off from the planet, and in John’s case, I know that those who really knew him—deep in his philosophical heart and mind—they feel a hole, however small, in the fabric of humanity.
John had a way of lightening things up with his presence, but he was anything but a lightweight. I had many conversations with him over the nine years I knew him, and he always captivated me with his knowledge of the spiritual works. John was an agile thinker without any showmanship. He had a deep and reverent understanding of the arcane and mystical knowledge that had been gathered, organized and synthesized from his many decades of seeking knowledge, and he wasn’t particular about the source, or how “minted” it was in terms of publishing pizazz. John was always about substance, not show.
He retained his childhood sense of awe about life, relationships, and the simple things that can go unnoticed by a less astute observer. John was the consummate observer and participant in life’s many turns and adventures, and I believe he was such a student of life that even in his final months he had a keen sense of his ongoing adventure. I imagine John remains keenly interested in those he surrounded himself with in this lifetime, and I have no doubt that he is busy in service to all of us, in the humble, spirited ways of his soul.
I will miss him in every way a person can miss a solid gold friend."

John developed the following video as an inspirational interpretation honoring and celebrating the future discovery of the Grand Portal - the irrefutable scientific discovery of the immortal human soul. And in John's words... "This discovery will forever change the nature of life on our planet. After the 2012-14 time period, humanity will begin an epic journey of discovery leading to this great event. Along the way many things will change. Much of what is negative in the human family will be left behind and much that is awaiting our discovery will be attained. But the one thing we have always had, but have never used enough, the love of the human heart, will finally shine forth in all its absolute brilliance and bring a new day to us all."
"Each time I see someone, it is as if I am meeting them for the very first time. I carry my past in my interactions with anyone."
"Live from your Presence of Allowance and let the love of Spirit shine through. Observe, Observe and Observe. A key to self-mastery."
"The human physical heart is a timespace extension and expression of the quantum energetic heart. This is the receiving and transmitting center of love in all human beings. This energetic heart transmits and expresses the light of love as the six heart virtues."
"If our teachers have come at this time for anything, it is to teach us how to contact our deeper, immortal self lovingly, wisely and patiently waits for us to use the spiritual gifts if has placed in our hearts."
"The life of love we build and maintain each day is our Temple of Inspiration and Right Relationship."
"Our life of love uses the thorns of conflict strewn in our path to produce the wondrous Rose of Beauty and Harmony."
